Lydia had what is called Gastrocnemius recession or tendon lengthening. A tight gastrocenemius muscle (calf) prevents a child from walking flat-footed, so instead the child walks on tiptoes.

They put her in casts for 4 weeks and then she will wear braces. She is walking a lot better already just in the casts. Her balance is better and she is more confident. I think that this might do the trick!

Poor baby! I miss my Lydia! I'm so glad things are going well!
So glad to hear that it appears to be helping. Hope that it just keeps getting better and better!
